Purpose of being atheist for 4 years: Make everyone think I am really smart! Read all the cool science books and know lots. Capture people with my charisma, natural charm meanwhile I am still a nasty Wiccan underneath. Become polite and take up 0 space but all the while remaining a passionate Secularist. It was funny to be honest. My ex gave me the tools for this exercise, I didn’t choose them.
Someone who chooses Moral relativism and gets concussed without noticing does not have the capacity to understand things until they practiced them. That is autism. So I practiced being Secular. I went to the groups I talked about atheism and I learned. It is a nice story but it isn’t my Story. I am a Wiccan Merchant with Social Philanthropy features. You overstepped my boundaries so I stepped in to your shoes to learn your language. Has your wish come true? 🙂
I am sorry I slandered you entirely falsely. I am sorry I was a wolf in sheep’s clothing and I am sorry about the toxic thing that happens when a Marketer listens closely to his highly intelligent and over-opinionated ex.What would I need to know about Psychology as a Marketer? Only the stuff that adds to my own enigma. I didn’t think to protect every opinion and every debate in confidence… Partially because YOU PISSED ME OFF ABOUT MY FAITH!
You need to stay away please & thank you. Wiccan Spiritualists are of the crazy ex-boyfriend breed. To quote Bray Wyatt from WWE “RUN!”
We were Codependent you aren’t going to get anything nice from me.
Every book is a tool for me. Every notion of the sense of self a myth. My website is organic growth and it has been on a growing cult of personality among the creative. Just don’t come back, please. I wish you good fortune.
A modern commentary that is non-academic and non-bureaucratic is the tradition of the Non-Voter. Not everyone should have to burden the weight of democracy. Some people should get a pass. Whether it be to learn more, abstain from an argument, or pursuit a working grind or maybe self-declared mental limitations. We ought to view non-voting as admirable and a form of peacekeeping.
We should make efforts to collectivize with like-minded people.
This being said, although that is a duty of democracy. Why don’t we give it time? When I was 18 I had a head of steam and I was ready to vote. I am still ready to vote when the time comes because I keep myself informed. As a writer, I practice the exercise of opinion. This could be an exhausting and boring duty to some. Also a Democratic population unhinged would have a battlefield of tribalism. A moderate democracy ought to be recognized and celebrated.
What is wrong with sitting out?
(Utilitarianism suggests happiness ought to be considered in situations of scarcity. The U.S. had a capacity issue with taking votes in the Democratic primary. Site closures mean they can accept fewer votes per location. Economics wise it allows passionate voters to participate and apathetic people to sign out. If political movements aren’t speaking to you. Or even maybe you reject the concept of the state entirely. (Hopefully not the second one.) Maybe you feel unattached to the debated issues. Or even from your own intellect. Either way, we should allow a tradition of sitting out and peacekeeping. I think Political science in school is designed to demand democratic participation. However, we have to acknowledge feelings of alienation especially when consider the Socialist and Libertarian traditions of politics.
For the record I voted once from a non-voter family member’s residence in municipal politics. I think since he paid the bills he ought to get the credit for that vote. Even if it went no where. Objectively speaking Duncan Armstrong was a weak politician. My website definitely gets more traffic than his did. It is sad the Progressive municipal movement was soley up to him. Jim Harrisson is definitely a media savy mayor.
I just also think we overemphasize voting and underemphasize donating as well. A Capitalist would theorize that donating would actually make democracy more accurate. Not that I am a capitalist. However, I think democracy is partially now about resource management.
“Don’t you know right from wrong!?” Anyone who was raised by parents who tried to raise them intellectuals has had this conversation multiple times. Some of us in Quinte West even began flipping the switch. Or just leaving Quinte West as a kind of morally deprived place with an out of control capitalism.
“Don’t you know that Capitalism isn’t the sum total of morality?”
From a historical context. The abandonment of morality and ethics is associated with the worst atrocities in human history. Fredrick Nietzsche preached immorality. His ideas were adopted by the Nazis. It was said that the abandonment of morality is what leads to fascism. As I have stated my love for joining a Secular Pluralist culture is what lead to me dating a fascist. Someone to indulged perverse desires and saw morality as subjective and paradigm. Also, all religions somehow manifested as a mass adapted mental illness. (Beliefs straight out of failed secular states with radical systems.) We have to find a way to trust protective structures like Political beliefs & religions. “Too much order, too much chaos.” Jordan Peterson.
So when another atheist comes up to me. Imagine hypothetically They just switched to atheism. The first thing I try to do with a new atheist is test if they are serious. Talk about issues grounded in reality with them. If they are serious about atheism we will find a way to talk about science, art, or politics. If they aren’t serious about atheism what you will get is nihilism and the abandonment of morality. That is something I will label every time because it is bad and it manifests into destructive & perverse behaviors. I will warn a friend that this is consistent with mental illness and I think they should deal with it.
The solution to chaos & malevolence is to confront it within reason. You want to use concepts of justice within reason and fairness.
This is worth writing out because there were red flags everywhere in this relationship. I think I can call it 2 years of being completely stupid. I wish I could run back to myself and say to myself “You are dating a fascist, you idiot!” The belief he ranted about, complete secularism, and removing values of pluralism. That is something a fascist believed. Alright, let’s say I alleged secularism so this post is less controversial and I won’t name the ex on the blog. Know that off the record I am stating it differently because emotionally that is what I perceive.
I am so for dating other atheists but I am sorry I am not for a cultural conversion. I protect Pluralism. I am an atheist but I call myself a Socialist because I am opting not to call myself an atheist because it can seem to be a void to meaning, belief & morality. We as a society shouldn’t want to confuse atheism with nihilism. Atheism should be not believing in god. Nihilism is reducing life, duty and all concepts into meaningless abstracts. Essentially Nihilism is the equivalent of just deciding not to give a F*ck and treat no one with any kindness.
I dated this Secularist idiot who proposed all religion was a mental illness. Please know that is not a belief I had, it was not something I valued and in retrospect, it is something I am ashamed of. I care about diversity, saving the planet, and heightening the quality of life for workers. I don’t value intolerance I don’t care how much of an intellectual you are perceived as, or how wealthy your status is.
(No wonder the Queen’s University students used to hate me! I understand what I did wrong.)
I guess we can consider this a moment of truth. I consider Socialism an atheist religion after my last examination. It is one I am choosing to practice but it is the truth. The ideas were impractical in nature but taught us a lot about Progressive politics. Yet they developed a religious-like following. I am highly supportive of ideas that people are environmental determinists, that social sciences, arts, and hummanities should be held in high regard & that we must be passionate about ideas of democracy and justice.
What made me choose this belief?
With my practice of faith. Also went my unmaterial spirit. Choosing Socialism kind of gave me that same rush someone got from dedicating their life to Christ. The belief is also highly adaptable for the moral values of an equal society that has proven to be an essential ingredient to maintaining cultural pluralism in our family, normalizing more feminist values & humanizing discussions of anti-refugee racism.
Labeling Socialism my religion
Means opting to prefer more secularist based ideas. It means holding poverty as a highly important issue & encourages my thrifty practice of attempting to switch my clothing shopping patterns toward almost completely towards second-hand shopping in an effort to be sustainable. I am also not the only person practicing this belief in the family. Again I just find the comparisons of Socialism to a religion an apt statement. I think if that concept were a religion, I would want to choose it because it makes perfect sense when humanity is facing its toughest recent challenges.
Socialism is my Religion & I am a Progressive voter.
Affirmation for myself, I will no longer smoke bongs! : I have to admit thinking about what I want for my blog while listening to The Subtle art of not giving a F*ck & taking my edibles to get to my ideal buzz. Basically, I was wondering with my blog’s following being a good percentage of stoners. If I should come out about a decision I made recently. I mean I smoked a bong and put up a podcast. It was some of the best hits this website got.
However, after consideration, I have decided to come out and say it. I quit smoking marijuana. I am still getting high, I am just no longer smoking marijuana. I am committed to giving up smoking marijuana. (I am writing that down for myself.)
It is has been an ugly addiction to smoke bongs. It isn’t a proper utility method for medicating one’s self. It is unadvanced and primitive. I can’t call myself an aspiring Utilitarian and remain a smoker. I am all for continuing to get medical doses for CBD & THC as a medical marijuana user. However, I can’t continue smoking. So I have switched to edibles.
What am I enjoying about giving up the bong? I know mental clarity has increased. I can be high on an edible but still, come by rational thought. (I have stopped getting high as a method to hide my immense focus on recreational education. It is a cultural choice relating to theories of determinism. Get used to it.)
Replacing addiction with activity: Beyond that, I am enjoying the taste of chocolate over the taste of c02. I can get high by putting oil on a cookie now. My ritual has changed but not entirely. Smoking also is something I do to compensate for not getting enough fresh air. So I workout 8 minutes now and again in the backyard now because of the Coronavirus Pandemic it is best to the social distance at this time.
A nasty symptom from too much smoke inhalation: The last thing and honestly the incentive to quit smoking weed was based on a headache that went away once I quit smoking. We have to be careful we are such a dumb ape specie. We burn a plant, inhale a carbon, and somehow despite years of research. Somehow think it is beneficial to our lives.
Why I want to be high at all? I can honestly say the euphoria of a marijuana high for 4-6 hours or sometimes longer feels like a utilitarian benefit to my life at certain times. I don’t want trade organ damage for my high anymore though. A mood-stabilizing Medicine by the practicalities of common health & wellness would commonly be taken orally. I believe CBD & THC is beneficial for my autism in my off time and a necessity mood boost. However, an intoxication nuisance during my productive time.
I’ve had some fun doing bongs and saying stupid stuff. Anyone at 17 years old would think that stupidity is a blast while avoiding all consideration for their body! I think with age has to come weighing considerations in morality & practicality. On a note of morality and practicality… Will, I still call centers pointlessly with the singular goal being getting the agent to waste time with pointless chitchat? Absolutely I will. I am not a monster! I am a chatty Community College Business Grad.
(I am a medical marijuana user. If you want to be one you came to the right place. I leave referral links.)

Ashton Deroy writes: It may surprise you to hear but before definitively selecting Socialist Feminism over Liberal Feminism. I saw a key difference in the ideologies. One of them supports a very individualistic approach to feminism. The other (Socialist Feminism) puts family solidarity at the forefront. I am Canadian so in many ways, I grew up with a bias for Liberal Feminism. However, as I got older and tried to define my Liberal Identity. I realized I was identifying in something without principles.
Socialist Feminism understands the reality that many women will have a higher quality of life if they are married, cohabitate & have adequate rights in the workforce. These concepts are part of why France has a 35-hour workweek. I also saw room to understand in Feminism for the 99% by Cinzia Arruzza that many women develop economic dependence that makes them overly rely on a partner. This leaves room to understand the concept of Codependence in Socialist Feminist theory.
What is codependence? To me, Codependence is a behavior that enables poor mental health, addiction & tyranny. Especially in the context of a relationship. However, let us extend the concept. Many respected voices in the Codependence discussion groups also recognize that Codependence may indeed enable & allow workers’ rights abuses. Codependent people are much more likely to be scammed in a rental agreement & be taken advantage of in other aspects of life. Again Codependence is understood & fits into Socialist Feminist theory, which I find quite incredible.
I feel no one who calls themselves a feminist can proceed to fail to understand what codependency is. How can we claim to boost the human rights of the many without understanding this very common problem, that quite frankly sets our cause back? The answer is we can’t. The biggest problem I have with Liberal Feminism is it fails to address how this issue sets progressive feminism. How could feminism move forward under the guidance of a bunch of people pleasers?
The answer is, it can’t! “I’ll have my rights if you let me.” Said the cry of women everywhere who can’t escape an exploitative boss, an abusive housing arrangement & regular exposure to sexual harassment. However, even when women do stand up for themselves. It is not like we as a society have a whole lot of practice listening. I always go back to the colleague I had who was Sexually harrassed at Hinduja Global Solutions but was forced to sit next to her harasser through arranged seating. A concept I advocated that the company should lose the privilege to coordinate.
You may find yourself wondering… How can feminism be set back with all the progress in our legal system? Well in Feminism for the 99% they talk about how Liberal Feminism is very accessible to the wealthy who can hire a lawyer but inaccessible to everyone else. I also argue that advocating femism requires a bit of backbone that Codependent people are not going to necessarily put in. Should that stop women of all backgrounds from receiving their rights though? I’d argue we need to make more pathways to allow people like me to stand up for people of all backgrounds to allow me to take the transferred risk and say “How you are treating this person is wrong & you need to stop!” Maybe I can do that through my writing. Maybe I need to demand to be able to do more.
No one who doesn’t understand Condependence can call themselves a “feminist”. You just don’t understand what is affecting the cause without understanding this enabling tyrannical behavior in spouses, jobs & housing. To make any solid 100% complete feminist theory. We must stop & have a conversation about codependence with its relationship to feminism. We also have to recognize more family focussed & independent views on feminism. There is no reason those concepts can’t be combined for a more unified theory.
