Why I as an atheist I don’t support Secular lawmaking?

Ashton Deroy writes: It was Karl Marx who said, “Religion is the people’s opium.” I kind of had thought Secular lawmaking would be the future of modern Canadian Politics. However, there are definitely more than a few reasons for pause & reflection. Atheists have dominated the governance of a country before, it resulted in the annihilation of multi-culturalism, religious genocide & brutal Tyranny. It is called Communism!

In Canada, Quebec passed a secular law called known as Bill 21. Before this had been executed, Secular lawmaking had been one of those things I thought could revolutionize the way we look at governance. “Oh yeah”, it is revolutionary but for all the wrong reasons.” Religious oppression, cultural oppression & uniformity.

I realize with an approach of secular lawmaking, tyranny is inevitable. You can see it in these Communist Countries when the people stop worshipping their faiths, it creates a vacuum and the state fills that vacuum unexpectedly with Nationalism & state worship. You see this in Joseph Stalin’s 5-year plan of atheism from 1932 to 1937 in Soviet Russia. This lead to religious oppression, re-education, and imprisonment to people who held on firmly to their beliefs.  One might argue with religion in a Nation we add a moral check & balance that we otherwise would not have.

Cultural oppression, in my own words I have said over & over again. You can not treat Uniformity as diversity. I started saying it in my last Hinduja Global Services blog where I said they make a gross negligent attempt to treat all their workers as a uniformed resource and not as people with individual needs who need to exist outside of the system. If that isn’t right in a company, you can bet it is all wrong for a country! Canada is a Pluralist country meaning if we all start looking the same in any kind of capacity. We are doing something very wrong as outlined by our Charter of Human Rights & Freedoms. This does include religious expression and I am fully against the oppression of these rights as someone who loves the charter & thanks it for my ability to exist outside of the marginalized areas of society.

The last part is about uniformity. Now I want to stop talking as a political commentary here and start talking like someone with an appreciation of arts & culture. Religion has inspired clothing & art . It makes our society reflect not just our relentless logical atheists but also the imaginative artists, Christian Philosophers & even our Sihk allies. The problem is this war on religion is also apart of the war on Families & their culture I had previously discussed. Forced uniformity is also a key part of our current Mental Health  Emergency I believe all of North America should be collaborating on. We have stripped away our traditions, identities, & beliefs as practicality! Yet we wonder why we are all miserable? In Belleville I heard a man at Tim Hortons say people in Turbans should not be allowed to vote. It gave me a feeling of such intense anger! This is not Canada and say that racist statement is not Canadian!

At the end of the day, Bill 21 in Quebec is a form of cultural destruction. Quebec has created a national identity and has decided that people in certain professions have no choice but to participate. I believe the fact that Secularism is a big part of Communism should not be so carefully glossed over. It should give us pause & we should question if this is a gradual step in the direction of somewhere we do not want to go. Atheism as enforced by the law kills culture.

Malicious intent

Ashton Deroy Writes:

Notice of edit by Re-branding: We no longer have a record of the original Blog post after editing it. This blog is being edited to be more pleasurable to the self-perception of the writer. Meaning that Ashton Deroy wants to convey a more professional & Socialist image. As a result, we are seeking to make blogs have depth rather than be the manifestation of a child’s temper tantrum. Which is a way I am comfortable describing the prior format to this blog post. In this blog, I do admit to developing suicidal ideation in my time working for StarTek. I believe that should be a statement on my mental capacity at the time of the very original version of this article and in relation to my feelings to this job. As you will read though I am working on taking massive steps to be more responsible without responding to legal intervention. Thankfully as of late, I have been granted a lot of freedom as a mental health blogger which has helped me calm down and accept past grievances.

Even After 5 years later & a return to Kingston Ontario. I still have a bad taste in my mouth when people mention my ex-employer StarTek. I mean I don’t know why? They were so “perfect” to me.

Listen the original to this article was a lot more abrasive but I am doing some image consideration at this time. This makes me think that as an ethical pursuit and also with the intention of seeking professional gains in the future and not harming a company. I will re-write this in the tone of a snappy ex-employee. Rather than a lunatic ranting over a bong which was how it was originally written.

To put this in Sustainable Business terms. This company is the definition of a Single bottom line company. There is no living wage, schedule consideration & their approach to mental health is laughable considering the damages they do to people’s lives.  Yes, I hold them accountable for some unnecessary sacrifices by employees.

No living wage: The living wage at the time this in Kingston Ontario is $17.57.  What is the hurt here? The hurt is the fact is a job like this puts people behind. Behind on retirement, behind on debts & behind on life experiences. The wage would be excusable in exchange for practical scheduling.

Average salary

Scheduling: The bottom line on schedules is that families come FIRST!  To do anything otherwise is to violate the standards for civil society.  That is it… That is all. Not controversial, actually it was a Conservative value when I was a kid.

Mental Health: I told multiple staff members are StarTek that I was having suicidal ideation. There was no attempt at handling it. All call center mental health intervention attempts to this point have been laughable even by reasonable person’s standards.

There this is just the subject matter related to the perception of the events at time this blog is written about. Which would be the time I worked for StarTek after graduating St. Lawrence college some time ago.

Why I am a Socialist? Not a Marxist & not a Communist.

Why marx was right

Ashton Deroy Writes: I love to listen to this book. Not because I think Marx was a genius! I think he was a deeply flawed alcoholic who designed Communism to force people in to accepting his stubborn belligerent ways. For in his ideals of Communism it allows Marx to fish, hunt & farm whenever he wants. With no obligations. responsibilities and checks and balances. In my opinion this Philosopher is just a typical troubled person.  Marx was an alienated person who even cheated on his wife. So because he was alienated he dreams of a society that suffers with mass alienation as well. The Marx design of Communism is designed so that if you read it and you are a bit of a loner. Or maybe you are even a little mentally sick you can literally believe Society & Capitalism is what is wrong. You are perfectly fine though, you just need to change society to accept you.

Sometimes you need to get your head checked especially if you believe in Communism. I am a Liberal Socialist. I objectively believe a regressive Canadian society with throwback Conservative values will kill me & all of my siblings. I don’t know if we can all work through our mental problems and end up fine. Or if Matt will remain forever an nonfunctional alcoholic. Or if Ashley will remain without a full education. I do know if they don’t have social safety nets they are screwed!

I went to Seneca College & took a course on Politics. Then I also began taking moral Philosophy online. What I have learned objectively is? Politics and morals are instrumental tools to guide you through life in ways ideal to your needs. Meaning I am not a Liberal Socialist so much as a cool choice. I just think it is the only version of Socialism that works & my family doesn’t understand Conservative culture enough to make a go at it.

What is Liberal Socialism? It is a balancing act in democracy of choosing Social ownership for the means of things like healthcare, education, Social Security & maybe even telecom. Then allowing a Private Market for areas related to recreation, food and tech. It is just a better design for Capitalism based on FDR’s Economic model. Also a bit on Charter Rights & freedoms for Canada that is important to Liberal Socialist values. We know enough about what works for Capitalism & what works for Socialism to now make a more definitive fixed model. When I hear about the failings of Socialism & even early Capitalism? It makes me realize we can take knowledge from these failings and design a more ideal society.

Why Communism doesn’t work? Communism breeds corruption. It is a system designed by a codependent man’s fever dream. Literally the execution in my opinion works as well as it ever could. A cliche for life. There are two types of people who will be uncompromising tyrants Alcoholics & Communists! That is because the systems of Communism are designed for Co-dependence. It doesn’t provide incentive for Economic contribution, there are not enough checks on power & like in the case of Romania. Communism leaves a power vacuum that is always filled at some point by a despot. Prediction “Oddly enough Donald Trump will do the same thing.   Due to the fact checks & balances were not placed on Trump’s power. It stands to reason the precedent has been set to allow a despot much worse than Donald Trump to replace him.” That is just Corporate Communism and it is a different story all together.

Malicious intent

Ashton Deroy Writes: Even After 5 years later & a return to Kingston Ontario. I still have a bad taste in my mouth when people mention my ex-employer StarTek. I mean I don’t know why? They were so “perfect” to me.  Maybe it was the lack of schedule control, the fact they pay under the living wage or maybe it was just the fact that creatively speaking I would deal with their terrible customers all day & then the manager I had would chuck dog s*** at me!

It is worth exploring in a full-blown style essay. Why am I still upset with StarTek 5 years later? I guess you can say I almost never dealt with them properly. Maybe today helped though when I called the company’s Human Resources department & told them 5 years later, but I am still pissed. The first thing is the lack of schedule control. People have families & Social lives. Yet time after time StarTek unnecessarily cuts careers short because people are dealing with family issues, childcare issues or just mental health issues. Damn it StarTek, why should I not call you and tell you I am pissed?!

https://www.ontariolivingwage.ca/living_wage_by_region

The living wage for Kingston Ontario is $17.57 hourly. Not $15.50 you cheap pieces of s****! You represent T-Mobile and it is a seriously bad reflection on them that they can not pay their employees a living wage. Again this is adequate aggression coming from me. You have 0 right in the public’s eye to act like another corporate Tyrant! Pay your people a living wage & realize that it is not up for debate.

Creatively written: Lastly, why would I be happy about a place where I was bullied by customers then bullied by management? Like I said it is pretty much like I was being picked on by customers on the phone 10 hours a day. Then when I got off the phone…. My manager made sure my mouth was open wide so she could huck in dog s****! Yes, it is reasonable to be reviewed as an employee, but what happened to me was a systematic beat down.

To StarTek:

Kiss my a**! My friends were considering you for employment and I just wanted to share my true opinions. No, I do not think my friends should work for StarTek. I consider my movement an outside intervention on behalf of the workers of Kingston. Do better, I am not afraid to say you need to do better.

(613)-888-1958 is my telephone number. If you have a concern with my blog feel free to text me or call me. Yes, I indeed called StarTek’s human resources department today to say “5 years later & I am still pissed.” I think it needed to be said. I am still asked about StarTek and this act of civil disobedience was to say, “I have reasons to feel the way I do about StarTek.” This was a very upsetting experience for me.

I believe call centers starting back in 2015 beginning with StarTek played a role in my downfall to a road of drug addiction, self-harm and suicidal behavior.

Tyendinaga & Marijuana safe shop index

Ashton Deroy Writes: This index is for my tribe of stoners to let them know about safe & unsafe cannabis purchasing locations. Click my name to check out my Facebook page. Please like and Subscribe for the update. This is my Tyendinaga & Marijuana safe shop index. Thank you for clicking on to my website. Just a reminder that marijuana from the reservation is considered purchasing illegal cannabis. I very much recommend purchasing legal containers to store your illegal cannabis.

The reason for creating this safe shop index is so that family & friends have access to information on acquiring marijuana safely from different available resources.

Oasis

My step Brother Matt recommended Green Grass Oasis. While I wouldn’t say much on the Res comes close to medicinal quality. Green Grass Oasis comes pretty close. I have been able to successfully use their THC and CBD products when in need.

OGD

Organic Green Dispensary was recommended by my uncle. Name is omitted. They gave us free joints on 4/20 and they have the best selection of edible products in Tyendinaga.

Better Buds is recommended by a friend Ryan. He says he likes the variety. Thank you Ryan for letting other people know the safe places to shop on the Res. I am sure the readers and close social circle will appreciate this information.

Ontario Cannabis Store

No shame in buying legal!

I understand people in my stoner tribe might have a few objections to buying legal Marijuana. However, the OCS is used by healthcare providers in the tribe, colleagues & I used it myself to buy Tangerine Dream. That is a high-quality Cannabis Cup 2010 winning strain. Also the quality is higher & the taste is better for those of us stoners who love a clean marijuana strain for a mid-afternoon high tea time.

Spark Medical Cannabis

Do you know the pros of medical cannabis?

  1. Tax Deductible as a medical expense
  2. Social stigma is often removed as a medical user who consulted with healthcare providers.
  3. You can travel anywhere in Canada with medical cannabis.

“However, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) allows for medical cannabis to be claimed as a “medical expense” deduction on your federal income taxes, the same way you can claim the cost of hearing aids, insulin, or a wheelchair. Here’s how it works.” RateHub, 2019

Black List

Legacy 420

Legacy 420 Is blacklisted. Unnamed sources from my stoner tribe put out rumors that range from product tampering to the store being gang-affiliated. It is a shame, they had these cool radio ads I used to hear from Rock 107. My favorite Quinte West radio station.

Pot Shoppe

The Pot Shoppe is now blacklisted due to the fact a cashier attempted to give my roommate improper change to pocket a lot of extra cash. We are talking they used to do big business with the shop. Then they decided to blacklist them because of one attempt at an unethical behavior. The shop also runs a radio station with music I am sure they do not have the rights to. I am not sure how copyright law is executed on Tyendinaga but I imagine if caught they could land themselves in some hot water!

Hot Dog Eating Contest? Why does Quinte West embrace this culture?

Why are we doing this

Ashton Deroy writes: In a town that struggles with obesity, high social assistance use & lack of healthcare. What is our town government doing? If you feel like Quinte West lacks community participation there might be good reason. While beer & fast food are sadly a staple of our town’s culture. We have to ask, “Should we be changing this?”

Should our town really celebrate the people most capable of over stuffing themselves with food? Meanwhile we have people struggling to take care of themselves in town. It really stands to reason we need more celebrations of athleticism  & less emphasis on gluttony. What is there to celebrate about a food consumption contest?

The Bay of Quinte culture requires a lot of change. The first thing we can do is criticize what is happening. The next steps are to have public discussions, engage public figures & continuous research. Do you think this spectacle is needless? Leave a comment or email me at Ashtonderoy@gmail.com
