I hope you liked the Cyber Security attack I staged today. That was for your benefit! 🙂
I am not even that upset. I just want to promote the seriousness of Autism + Concussion and I was willing to do it at your expense.

I am sorry but if it wasn’t for my complete ignorance in perception to Mohawk Political culture I wouldn’t of picked up this Political theory book. Admittedly had I known the contents of this book I would not have bought it. This is going to be less of a quantifiable review and more of an emotional review. Sometimes we flip the script and just get real on this website.
An intimate relationship has me bias to materials: My feelings are that I am glad my boyfriend isn’t a fundamental Native Sovereigntess. In fact, he might be marginalized by Political Native Soverigntests. For those who don’t know Traditional Native sovereignty values would likely reduce my relationship to nothing more than a member and an outsider. / That was very dehumanizing. I was very happy recently when my boyfriend said: “My culture is anime and video games.” Not just because it was a silly statement by a free spirit. It also reminds me that in spite of his cultural heritage he sets his own values and he doesn’t have to choose a culture or values where we will both be marginalized. I’m still just a Socialist and he is probably still deciding what he is.
Will I finish the book? This is one of those times where if I pick up a book I might as well finish it. Not that I am glad of having read it. I am not… Just because if you’ve started to understand some of these issues. It is worth continuing to understand these complex issues. That is my review. If you are a Pluralist Indigenous, mixed indigenous, or of descendence of Loyalist setters this book might make you feel a bit down and even depressed. We identify as a family of Mohawk people & French Loyalist Settlers. Ultimately this is worth knowing.
“I bet on not reccomending the book before I finished reading it. I immediately changed my mind” Ashton Deroy commentary
Sustainable Development goal. For Pluralism to exist with Indigenous people: Page 119 could change my opinion on the book greatly. Especially in looking at things like Blood Quantum in relationship to Indigenous persons and how offensive that is. One thing I definitely care about is being diplomatic in relationship to marginalized people. It also makes me recognize that some people treat the Indian act and Mohawk Culture as more of an unserious novelty. For Pluralism to exist we must respect their traditions and point of view. On page 119 you can see a prime example of two people deciding to deny each other their Indigenous heritage one from the rude position of bureaucracy the other from feelings of marginalization and victimization from being denied rights from their legal Indian status card. My position with my social circle remains if you claim to be indigenous I pay respect to that. However, a position of duty related to potential jobs may put me in a place similar to this. I definitely don’t want to make anyone feel alienated from their heritage and point of view. The respectable thing to do is treat their views as legitimate and develop some respect for their point of view so that you can speak as equals even if not the same. Even if executing duty. I think had considerations of been paid for duty of job position & ethnology of everyone involved. The situation would have gone better.
I changed my mind I will now give this book a shout out and recommendation. Mohawk Interupts by Audra Simpson Click here.

Ashton Deroy writes: To Lily: I assure you my post was not geared at some agenda. Just the fact I didn’t enjoy your show. I didn’t want to write in my first post that you were mad at me from Kingston Pride because I didn’t think you remembered me. Now I am going to warn you although people are largely on your side, the optics of public perception are also bringing me some support. Like way more support than if you had just of ignored me. Consider your klout. You have influence & reach. I really don’t.
About me & alcohol, I really don’t have a high tolerance. Also, I acknowledged my autism had nothing to do with how she behaved. I bring it up on my blog because I am indexed as an autistic blogger. That is why I brought it up online. It actually has nothing to do with her. The more I say autism, the more it helps my brand. “Autism, Autism, Autism.” , “ADHD ADHD ADHD.” It is actually funny. It is my condition I can mention it whenever I want. Also, it does have to do with why I was partially out of it at the bar. I am noise & light-sensitive. I used to wear those big soundproof headphones.
When you are a performer? It is hard to take criticism. People work very hard to perfect their art and style of engaging with the audience. Sometimes it can be upsetting when someone writes a review for you. Here are 3 things you can do to deal with a critic you don’t like:
Below is Lily Devine’s reply and a hyperlink to the original article. I don’t know, I am glad she gave me 5 minutes of recognition & attention. She really gave me a chance to expand my Klout on an article that really was not that popular before she wrote her reply. She is right, we did have drama on Kingston Pride. When I wrote my article I was not going to include that history, but she brought it up. Which in my opinion only helps in telling my story, which is really what this website is about. If you think I should write more entertainment reviews, send me an email on the form below:
This was a reply to Dear Lilly DeVine
Dear Ashton Deroy of ashtonderoy.com
First I would like to thank you for once again going public to twist my words into your own agenda to further put a value on your socialism, by calling me many things I am not. To the point of even tagging me on Twitter, although you and your friends could have simply sent me a message directly to voice your concerns in an adult manner; it would have been dealt with months ago.
It was very enlightening to see your response to the last show you were at, from when you were just a minor sitting on an elected board position from when I was Miss Kingston Pride while screwing around with a board member old enough to be your grandfather to gain the grounds you ‘believed’ you had to do as you wish. Until you were removed from the board because of a rather distasteful video of me surfaced on your site so long ago doing exactly what you are doing now.
I would like to address the fact you were drunk enough that you were cut off after one drink, falling asleep at the front table where not only myself but other performers were performing. Even though I asked how many fingers I was holding up, making sure you weren’t passed out cold, I had also asked numerous times if you were ok and if you needed a cab called to get you home. As I did with your friends, who replied with ‘he’s ok, he’s just had too much to drink.’
Although your lack of understanding on what that could apply while sitting front row at a DRAG SHOW is of your own accord. HOWEVER, the fact of you being autistic had absolutely no bearing in the matter and NOT ONCE was brought up.
Your choice to blame me for your lack of involvement in anything LGBT2Q+ is a ploy to make your own wants and needs seem viable rather than leaving under your own accord, this is only appears to be an underlying issue you have with MANY LGBT2Q+ events over the years since our time on the pride board so long ago.
The fact of my personal story of being with ONE Asian man many years ago, was just that…a story turned into a joke at my own expense, due to him passing out drunk after showing me what could only be described as a grub sticking out of dirt.
Not that of an entire population, because IF your friend had also been sober enough to remember I had also stated that was not the case with all Asians because I have a very long list of favourites on my Pornhub account.
I am terribly sorry that your friend took offence, but yet again it here I sit that I have to explain myself to those who feel the need to smear my name, I did not know she was Asian in any capacity or anyone else there on what their nationality is or religion, political stance, etc.
As for my candid and unprofessional take on my once drag daughter, you see, unfortunately because of her attempts to destroy my name to make me into something I am not; she had also crossed the line because I am a single parent and she brought it to my home. To my business. And for that, my personal and business finances took a major blow in the Belleville area costing me much more than you can comprehend while sitting behind a keyboard creating a blog for your scholastic entertainment between friends.
If you truly believe Belleville is the ONLY place that suffers from major drug use, then my recommendation would be to crawl out of that cave you hide in and take a good look around. It’s a major issue EVERYWHERE, including mental health!
To say I don’t understand mental health is quite the slap in the face in regards to drug use, Ashton pot is not a drug in Canada!
Thanks for reading…but I do it better!
Oh and, my name is spelled LILY not LILLY
Ashton Deroy Writes: It is in my opinion that Canada’s democracy will not keep the peace forever. All civilizations eventually break down & all systems of government eventually fail. To quote Sean Illing “The elites have failed. These so-called liberal democratic institutions have failed. My vote has no influence on public policy. Why should I give a damn about preserving this system?”
My Dad and his partner are non-voters. It is not hard to see why? I think at this time it has to be one of the most peaceful stances to take. Democracy is already like a verbal war that is to take place every time there is an election. The after math is protests, complaining & social smear tactics designed to scare swing voters to the other side.
Why do I think the system is going to have a violent breakdown? No system breaks without stress & our system has a lot of it. From the fact that climate change is said to be happening much faster in Canada, to the ethical integrity being questioned by our current prime minister & lastly the down turn of public political discussion.
Climate change is now becoming the issue that needs addressing in Canada. The Conservative response was recorded however & all they had to say was “Carbon Tax = Evil.” Liberals have begun to try & create change with taxation. I actually wrote MP Neil Ellis in the prior blog . In regards to protecting our natural environment and this was his response.
What incites violence about this issue though? Well if you are a member of Generation X or a Millennial you might just feel that the older generations of Conservatives really screwed up your planet. Knowing that this will cost you your quality of life, air & drinking water. You might just be pissed off enough to punch a Conservative in the face!
That is okay though because as much as young people & lefties might want to punch a Conservative. I am pretty sure the current right wing population is a mix of capitalists, white nationalists & powerful people who want to punch Liberals to. In the MSN article above it says “Canada’s top public servant says he is worried someone will be assassinated during the coming federal election campaign given the disturbing tenor of recent public discussion.” It is true, Trudeau is being described as a traitor and has long been described as a figure radical conservatives have wanted to kill.
Now that I have described in detail the hatred that exists between two major political ideologies lets discuss social smear. Today a discussion in Politics between a left winger & right winger is really more like a chance to spew propaganda to recruit support. We know if we win over the swing voters, we have a better chance at getting a government that best represents our class of society. We are fighting in discussions & the objective of the fight is to gain temporary support of our peers. In some countries coercion is a classic way of winning the fight.
“A number of citizens, whether amounting to a majority or a minority of the whole, who are united and actuated by some common impulse of passion, or of interest, adversed to the rights of other citizens, or to the permanent and aggregate interests of the community.” James Madison
It just doesn’t seem like this democracy can keep the peace forever. A check mark in a box does nothing to keep society standing. In my political studies class I learned Jean Jacques rousseau called the process of voting consenting to the social contract of an election. I’d argue more that people are consenting to being apart of a certain tribe & where there are separate tribes there is war! This system can not & will not last forever because it really does nothing to promote co-existence, take care of people & promote a sustainable living model. Voting is a division, political parties are tribes & democracy is a war awaiting violence.
Trenton & Belleville Ontario are growing and are set to grow more with tourism. However one of the biggest issues I have brought up to the Bay of Quinte in the expansion is the lacking infrastructure for public transit. We have a lacking transit system that does not work, but we are still way too ready to tell people to rely on their livelihoods with a hit or miss bus. It is ridiculous.
Here are three clear problems with the Belleville Transit system.

Intro: You should not become an Entrepreneur. Let us face it the sad truth is you went to Loyalist College because you had no idea what to do for your seven-year plan. Chances are you still don’t have a seven-year plan. Why would you start risking your own time & money here? Here are 3 reasons not to be an Entrepreneur. Most successful mid-corps were started/maintained by a family with an already existing body of wealth. I learned this working for Greenwich Associates a financial research & consulting firm where I interviewed CEOs, CFOs, and Presidents of mid-corp organizations.
Listen if you are a Business student in college. You are probably being given a lot of hype for starting your own company. Don’t fall for it! Be an opportunist, not a dead-set entrepreneur. Here is a cliche I love, “Work smarter, not harder.” If working smart means a 9-5 with a pension and a pain in the a** boss. That is fine. There is no shame in being someone’s b****!
