I’ve been saying I have had a hard time with my autism in the pandemic. A few nights ago I was sent home from work with a concussion and I went to Hotel dieu got sent home with some nice Advil. “I just want to say a genuine thank you to Hotel Dieu because of them not knowing about CBD and autism. I spent last night thinking I was going to die. Are you autism aware yet? Sometimes I wish I would die. Then this fight is over. I can just stop contending and competing. That is what I want. I want to stop competing because I am not a winner I am a loser. I am batting 0 – 100. ”

Religious indifference:
I am a #Wiccan #Spiritualist and I care not of your approval. It is a #Socialist Religion. Philosophically genuinely believes that if I proved worthy of working at the #GiantTiger. It would be through a mix of cutthroat passive-aggressive #bureaucracy as well of the ability to prove my #marginal worth. As someone from a #European faith, I have to be able to take care of and be there for my team. If I am in competition with the people I would ideally #Unionize within the case of a cultural problem in the workplace I would need them to like me in order to become a #member. Therefore I view #alienation for my team as an unacceptable culture. In passing, conversations whistles were blown about her values. Yet I felt the need to say to the manager as though to limit her control. This is called #Opposition and it leads to more #democratic workplace practices. Even if it has negatively impacted my career.

You have #Efficiency related #health & safety problems. As well as people #cutting corners to please you. Had I of stayed I imagine I would have to blow whistles frequently down the line. Related to employees not making #LivingWage , having a #union or any kind of #Secure attachment to one’s job. To use uncensored injury talk “Enjoy your #shittylife I am not going to touch it. It is not mine” I just submit research to maybe improve our lives in the disabled community.

Disclosure about #MarketResearch #Economics and #WorkersRights . Our Legal system has an incredible depth of history. #LoyalistCollege taught me Legal Fundamentals. I wish I could have trusted the manager more but she has a very specific organization process that honors efficiency above all else.

How much efficiency companies cost us?

Define efficiency company– Toxic efficiency is achieved when companies’ interests are prioritized much too high over community and Sustainability interests.

Here is how we get our answer? This is more speculative than anything right now but I would genuinely like a number. Here is how we get it. We add up the cost of the social assistance received by the employees’ post-call center employment. We add that up for the duration they receive the assistance.

Not just talk, eventually, we are going to get reports. Conversations are going to be had. We are going to continue to be informed and this will be dealt with. You see what I think Socialists? I think this is another version of the Wal-Mart Food stamp problem in the U.S.A. I think we have jobs that worsen social wellbeing rather than improve for the sake of the utility of the community.

Still, think a Conservative is going to balance the budget & economy humanely? Give me a break!

Here is an idea:

  • Give employees time to adjust to work culture.
  • Allow for mistakes
  • Don’t fire without just cause (Not the efficiency just cause… “No no… NO!” )

Mohawk Interruptus by Audra Simpson

I am sorry but if it wasn’t for my complete ignorance in perception to Mohawk Political culture I wouldn’t of picked up this Political theory book. Admittedly had I known the contents of this book I would not have bought it. This is going to be less of a quantifiable review and more of an emotional review. Sometimes we flip the script and just get real on this website.

An intimate relationship has me bias to materials: My feelings are that I am glad my boyfriend isn’t a fundamental Native Sovereigntess. In fact, he might be marginalized by Political Native Soverigntests. For those who don’t know Traditional Native sovereignty values would likely reduce my relationship to nothing more than a member and an outsider. / That was very dehumanizing. I was very happy recently when my boyfriend said: “My culture is anime and video games.” Not just because it was a silly statement by a free spirit. It also reminds me that in spite of his cultural heritage he sets his own values and he doesn’t have to choose a culture or values where we will both be marginalized.  I’m still just a Socialist and he is probably still deciding what he is.

Will I finish the book? This is one of those times where if I pick up a book I might as well finish it. Not that I am glad of having read it. I am not… Just because if you’ve started to understand some of these issues. It is worth continuing to understand these complex issues. That is my review. If you are a Pluralist Indigenous, mixed indigenous, or of descendence of Loyalist setters this book might make you feel a bit down and even depressed. We identify as a family of Mohawk people & French Loyalist Settlers. Ultimately this is worth knowing.

Sustainable Development goal. For Pluralism to exist with Indigenous people: Page 119 could change my opinion on the book greatly. Especially in looking at things like Blood Quantum in relationship to Indigenous persons and how offensive that is. One thing I definitely care about is being diplomatic in relationship to marginalized people. It also makes me recognize that some people treat the Indian act and Mohawk Culture as more of an unserious novelty. For Pluralism to exist we must respect their traditions and point of view. On page 119 you can see a prime example of two people deciding to deny each other their Indigenous heritage one from the rude position of bureaucracy the other from feelings of marginalization and victimization from being denied rights from their legal Indian status card. My position with my social circle remains if you claim to be indigenous I pay respect to that. However, a position of duty related to potential jobs may put me in a place similar to this. I definitely don’t want to make anyone feel alienated from their heritage and point of view. The respectable thing to do is treat their views as legitimate and develop some respect for their point of view so that you can speak as equals even if not the same. Even if executing duty. I think had considerations of been paid for duty of job position & ethnology of everyone involved. The situation would have gone better.

To: Workers of the call center world.

I truly believe if you follow these steps. We can truly have a positive lasting impact on the culture and community around call centers in the eyes of the workers. In the past, I may have been grosser or even disturbing with my methods. In this post, we are focussing on a cool, calm & collected approach to the democratization of call centers.

click here. How to democratize call centers_ Dedicated to the dismissed, terminated and generally disgruntled ex workers.

Reference: Economic principals.  in the case of this document, we are referring to the process of organizing worker communication resources and leveraging that for a Trade-off negotiation that hopefully one day brings these jobs to liveable wages. Or results in a worsened unsustainable economic alienation of the call centers.

What isn’t included, but should still be considered?

  1. Employee bill of Rights specific to workplaces. A document outlining employee rights and privilege benefits that come with them the second they get a job. We should all be able to answer the question “What are the perks to your job?” In our cases having an employee bill of rights would actually mean a lot more for us.
  2. On-site/near-site protests. Count Ashton Deroy in if these happen by the way.
  3. Unlimited Sick days – The time of sick notes and sick day limitations is surely over. I am sure by now we understand in relation to Coronavirus that we need to have a protocol to protect workers and ensure a limitless amount of sick days to prevent the spread of contagious disease and this needs to be ongoing, Tyranny always folds to practicality.
  4. Establishing the idea – “There is no such thing as just Business,” This is the mindset which gets corporatists thinking they can treat others however they want. There is no such thing as just business and we won’t reduce the process to simple mathematics only. If you cut me I will bleed. If you fire me I will starve. That is the plague of being an everyday worker. To ignore that is to ignore unjustified violence in the workplace that leaves to lasting problems in the communities of Kingston Ontario, Belleville Ontario, Trenton Ontario, Brighton Ontario & Toronto Ontario.

 

Issues with companies mentioned:

  • During my employment with StarTek, I made too little money, they demanded too much time & rather than try to make the job work out with me. Which employers in the past have done. My direct manager directly bullied me out of the building. Both her and the team champion.  I don’t think I should have been suicidal if my manager was just trying to improve my abilities at the job. This was malicious and had devastating effects to my mental health.
  • S&P Data – I was fired for calling them out on the internet while employed with them. I don’t regret it. In fact. To: Canadians getting harassing telemarketing calls. Here are the possible origins. They were breaking the law that is my personal opinion based on observation and memory. Click here to find locations to harassing call centers in Canada . You know when you are paid to do something for a living that you don’t ethically agree with? That is why I did what I did. There was a moral imperative, no means to speak up and against in the company. & finally no checks & balances.
  • Concentrix – Undisclosed and never to be disclosed Sources tell me about illegal changes to employee scheduling. I witnessed The company hire multiple drug dealers. I got to know people with backgrounds related to organized crime that the company had no idea about or management was in on. In the case of management participating in the drug culture. During my time under the Rogers Communications contract. In both Concentrix and stream. For a brief while, Belleville Concentrix hired my friend Crystal Gallagher who was busted for a drug business, and to be honest who I moved away from in a hurry. (she was nuts) I’m not sure if the company experiences some form of self-directed blindness, but it is way too stupid in there.
  • Hinduja Global Solutions – You just can’t keep people because you just can’t grasp stakeholder theory. Your single bottom line is just not going to work out for you. In the meantime, while you are playing an imaginary game of responsible corporation with your Business culture. A woman got sexually harassed and was forced to sit beside her harasser under your assigned seating policy for agents. You don’t accommodate anyone and you make us sit as employees through this stupid $ #* () meetings about competing with Fido’s website. Yes, agents make less revenue than the automated service! A big surprise considering the key benefit of telephone customer service is support. Also, customers had to pay additional fees that made ordering through the phone unappealing anyways.

When you can’t speak up properly internally? You have to blow the whistle from the outside. Let’s face it. These centers will not be in our communities forever anyways. There is no reason in the meantime that we can not ask them to do more for our people while they are here.

I value highly the pursuit of an equal society with values of justice and dignity with cultural plurality I have read books by Democrats, Socialists, Utilitarians. I have learned about the origins of North American Social Reform culture out of New Harmony Indiana. I have praised Tommy Douglas for his work on human rights and the creation of Socialized healthcare. There is a real cultural collective of literature, historical figures, and Philosophical/Economic readings.

When you do what this person did? 

Reducing the sum of morality & a values-based conversation with real intellectual values in to “When I took acid I realized what I already knew, we’re all just creatures of earthborn under the sky and will die under the sky.”I lost a great deal of respect for this person. Of all the profound conversations I would hope to have with a fellow intellectual and fellow working-class person.  This was not in line with those types of conversations I would hope to be having. Doy I am an atheist too! I just still believe in deterministic  principles for guiding one’s actions.

Telling it like it is 

You can be an atheist and then still be a nihilist and know that I will call that out as a bad thing. Atheism is not the sum total value of our individual philosophies. If you don’t have the meaning you find it through reading and deep introspection. As a friend, you became someone I view as someone who gets lost in sloppy poorly thought out meaningless relationships with men who have drug issues.

As a person, you have become paranoid (obviously these drugs don’t agree with you and are probably illegal. I am not a police officer) As a student you’ve been reduced to nothing but a pointless party person who won’t buckle down & focus. Acid & LSD was considered a threat to cultural sanity for a reason. People during use feel like they have been enlightened. People from every faith and atheism thing they get it all figured out just from an intense trip! You haven’t woke my friends.

Why I think her ex left her after 4 years based on an outsider observation? I think he lost respect for her. First of all, she is an atheist like me but let us face facts that on its own is a bleak philosophy. She was materialistic. From the prior conversations, she stated she didn’t believe his passion for world history would translate into a wealth payable skill. She was passionless and filled with deeply flawed values that go beyond practical and into bleak. The tide of her impulses just steer her to prospects of marrying for wealth, pushing desperately non-consensual commitment & her unaddressed preference for interdependence in her social culture means she is miserable by the way she steers herself. (Quite frankly I am comfortable labeling someone a gold digger in the face of the belligerent indifference to pursuits of passion in relation to education.)

Friendship Summary: This relationship was exhausting and I honestly fear her inability to grow will surpass my ability to forgive our culture clash. As a gay man & Socialist, I value being a confidant to many friends who feel like my sisters. As an autistic person who became higher functioning, I scoff at her lacking determinism to become smarter, her lacking passion for her work & inability to see why she might be offputting to men who crave emotional connections. She is one of the least self-actualized people I have ever met. She is reducing herself to a party girl wearing an “intellectual” mask. She is heartless wearing a mask of compassion & lastly she is passionless posing as a passionate person the result is total and completely fraudulent behavior, even if not a case of legal misrepresentation. You felt ripped off as a friend hoping for a deeper interpersonal relationship.

I am going to expose something not so secret.  I buy Logo generated logos!

I am not a graphic designer nor would I ever pretend to be one.  I am not that type of artist. Now I used Wix logo maker but here is what makes my logo personal. The eagle represents a piece of artwork my Papa Dick had that he passed on to his son Rick.  I also like the eagle. I think it is a positive resemblance to the enduring spirit of Canadian Libertarian values. It is also tied into our family culture. We ( Kyle, Ashley, Kaylib & Ashton Deroy) identify our Family culture as a French & indigenous mix.

Value of Pluralism statement: In this blog we value pluralism for culture, pluralism in language & Pluralism in Philosophical outlooks. We are multicultural, we are Democratic, We are Capitalists and we are Socialists. Introduction: This post is going to have Retention disses for bad Customer/Company breakups I have experienced. It could be fun!

I know corporate culture loves to teach and train the practice of “retention”. Honestly, it gets to be a little too much when they tell you upon leaving GoodLife the staff says in a guilt-ridden manner “We’ll miss you.” cue puppy dog eyes. No one keeps me with guilt or clever sales statements. Your best shot would be discounting the service cost. Even still though… I don’t want anyone else but me deciding what I pay for and where I go on a regular basis.

To: GoodLife Fitness

I LEFT YOUR GYM TO GO TO COLLEGE WHERE MY TUITION COVERED THE COST OF A GYM MEMBERSHIP!

It doesn’t matter though…. If someone loses their job or needs to cut back expenses. That shouldn’t be anyone else’s opinion to weigh in on. “We are just trying to keep business.” No, you are not, you are being cruel and manipulative. Don’t have your staff who never talk to me say they will miss me. That is weird.

When they say? I want out, cancel my membership. Why can’t we just end our conversation there? It is their money. Treat it that way!

To: Fido

YOU USE YOUR RETENTION PROCESS TO UNDERCUT YOUR COMPETITORS THROUGH COMPARISON. THEIR NAME SHOULD NEVER EVEN BE SPOKEN BY YOUR AGENTS!

Why people leave your company? Maybe it is all the micro charges as accessibility issues you create! WTF?! Let your customers have service. Stop pushing self-serve.

People in Self-Serve Business Relationships… Deserve to have their other half aka customers leave them!


Message to readers: Quitting a gym shouldn’t be an opportunity for emotional manipulation. If you want to quit a service and they pull that. Make them want to leave you! I would string together some choice 4 letter words or tell them it is my right to manage my money how I see fit. Don’t get pushed around by the retention team.

Think of this blog post as a received acknowledgement & respect of a certain culture that exists within my family. This blog has already been a hot spot of Liberal & Socialist type ideas. We need to acknowledge the opposite culture that very much has a presence in this family. So what does that mean?

There is a part of me as well as a part of my family that believes in Individual responsibility, working to keep a roof over one’s head & of course a love of dollar beer! There is a part of my very Canadian family that discusses old fashion values while smoking a dart on the deck. I want to respect that family history & acknowledge their presence in me becoming who I am. Often I do think I could be a worse person and indeed a less tolerable Socialist if it wasn’t for my family.

To: my Dad

A pretty down to earth guy who just happened to raise two Socialist kids. Definitely, there needs to be a recognition of respect from me. Thank you for the openness to explore different beliefs & even at times loose spiritual religions. The way we were raised with a mix of discipline and openness to explore topics of our interest allowed us to make up our own value systems. Having the openness hybrid mixed with the discipline to pick out our own values was definitely what made me a better writer & my brother a better Nurse.

Conclusion

If there is one thing I have highlighted on this blog over time. It is that we need to have the ability to acknowledge & respect different world views. I think it would be a waste to highjack our family cultural values without acknowledging where they really were. So if you are a Libertarian who hates fat government spending, deficits & individuals who lack responsibility. If you love Wrestling?! You have a place on this blog. You are realistically crucial.

What is it about? For new readers just getting to know us. The Deroy family has lived around Quinte West and Brighton Ontario for over 20 years. We are a second-generation ENSS & Loyalist College family. We are a healthy mix of Socialists/Social reformers & Capitalist Libertarians. This site has actually been an idea of mine (Ashton Deroy.) Since 2018. I just needed to make some healthier branding decisions to get to this point.

Ashton Deroy does not endorse MLM companies. However, since this website is now a collective space. The site can endorse links that I personally wouldn’t. I am clarifying this in case you need my opinion on Multi-Level Marketing companies. I am morally opposed to them. However, this website is a collective and shared space. I am not under any moral integrity clause anymore. If I post something on the website. It doesn’t necessarily reflect my views. In fact, it won’t always be my opinion I place up here.
